Well so much for writing soon :) Here we are about a year and a half later; this certainly has been a very exciting year! I completed a year long, grueling internship, moved back to Seattle with my wonderful boyfriend, adopted a puppy, Rookie, and started on some amazing career paths! I am currently juggling 5 different "per diem" jobs: 1) Northwest Hospital Clinical Dietitian 2) Kindred Hospital Clinical Dietitian 3) Consulting Dietitian for American Athlete 4) Health Advisor/Screener for Health Fitness 5) Personal Trainer and Nutrition Consultant for the most amazing group of clients I could ask for. One of which is Andrea, who inspires me with her motivation and dedication to her goals! She started off November 1st with a few goals that encompass a variety of areas of health and wellness and will continue to set various, realistic goals each month for the next year. She took a before picture and documented her weight at the beginning. Over the next year we will post her progress and show how making healthy lifestyle changes can truly be accomplished. Stay tuned!

Independent

"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away" Unknown. I love this quote and use it to live my life by. I have so many moments that take my breath away - I decided it's time to share some of these with others.

So here I am in another new phase of my life, doing an internship 6 hours away from family and 2,000 miles from friends, and two of the loves of my life - Seattle and Eric. It's definitely been a challenging 3 months so far, but all the other challenges I've gone through in my life have definitely helped prepare me for this. I still can't help counting down the days until I get to see Eric again (17 to be exact). :) And only 3 weeks until I see my family again. Light at the end of the tunnel! I love being so independent, but at the same time it's gets to be so hard to be alone all the time. Working 80 hours a week definitely keeps me distracted from feeling lonely though. I am learning lots and actually starting to make some friends - this weekend two other interns and I are going to a block party and then out downtown - should be fun! That's all for now! Write more soon.
